Mountain Luž

Phonolite mountain (793 m) and the highest peak in the Lusatian mountains. The mountain is situated about 1,5 km of Horní Světlá. The state border with Germany goes over its peak. The former restaurant and view-tower of 1823 burned out in the year 1946. From the top there is an outstanding view to Ore mountains, Czech Switzerland, Bohemian Midlands´hills, Ještěd ridge, Jizera mountains and Giant mountains. On the south-east slope there lies the ski centre in municipality Myslivny. Other skic centre is situated also at the German part of mountain near village Wartersdorf.
